Step 9: The AVAC HUD
Understanding the AVAC HUD and it's role within both Titanic and Southampton is important to progressing throughout the Metaverse.
The AVAC HUD (Heads-Up Display) is your indispensable in-game tool for a fully immersive experience within the 1912 Metaverse. With this device, you can engage directly with the $AVAC Ecosystem. Not only does the HUD provide vital information on health, water, and food levels, but it also displays your in-game reputation. All participants wishing to earn $AVAC and enjoy the fullest Metaverse experience should wear the HUD.
Acquiring and Activating the HUD
The AVAC HUD can be collected from the Information and Welcome Centre. Simply click the box containing the HUD, and it will be transferred to your Inventory. Right-click to attach or wear it, and you're ready to engage with the Metaverse.
HUD Features
Reputation
The reputation bar sits at the top of the HUD. Your in-game actions directly influence your reputation status, reflected in real-time on our primary Discord. Negative actions like stealing or committing a crime can flag you as "Wanted by the Law." Conversely, positive engagement within the Metaverse improves your reputation status. Be mindful, your reputation can also be influenced by the areas you visit or the quests you undertake.
If you're flagged as "Wanted by the Law", surrender to a police officer or at a Police Station. Keep in mind, this comes with a $50 AVAC fine.
In the above Screenshots, we can see how the HUD changes to "Wanted by the Law", but as you are committing a Crime, this is then reported to the "Crimewatch" area of Discord, which details the Crime you have committed and the location of the offense.
Health
Your health status is paramount, impacting your survival in the game. Falling ill, catching a disease, or letting your health level drop to zero can result in in-game death. Keep medical supplies handy, purchasable with $AVAC, to treat any health issues promptly. An illness will decrease your health by 25% every ten minutes. Hence, it's crucial to take prompt action to preserve your health.
Food and Water
Maintaining your Food and Water levels is essential. Both can be purchased in-game, and failing to keep them topped up could lead to in-game death due to starvation or dehydration. On land, free water can be found at Water Pump Locations. At sea, visit Titanic's restaurants to replenish your Water level.
Food can be purchased or stolen from Marketplaces, or ordered within Titanic's Restaraunts. You'll simply click the food item you want, this will then deduct the balance from your $AVAC Wallet. After purchasing, you then wear this in your inventory to replenish the vital you are seeking to heal.
Wallet
The $AVAC Wallet displays your in-game balance, crucial for earning and spending within the Metaverse. While the in-game $AVAC cannot be transferred from your external wallet, you can withdraw your balance from the game directly. You can visit the Purser or a Bank to withdraw your $AVAC, a process that may take up to 24 hours. The HUD displays real-time balance updates for all transactions.

Updating the HUD
Keep in mind that we will be updating the HUD with new features as we transverse our Metaverse Journey. To update the HUD you'll simply collect a new version from the same location after an update has been announced. Please do note that updating your HUD will be important as this will always contain the latest features and fixtures, and you'll not want to miss out on the updates.
