Step 1: Firestorm Viewer and Accessing Second Life

If you are already competent with Second Life, then please jump straight into Step 6: Southampton & Starting your Metacruise
To begin your journey aboard the Titanic in Second Life, you will need to download and install the Firestorm Viewer. The Firestorm Viewer is a widely-used and trusted client that provides an optimal Second Life experience, offering a range of features and customization options.
To download the Firestorm Viewer, visit the official Firestorm website at the following link:
Select the appropriate version for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and follow the installation instructions.
Ensure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to run Second Life:
A recent processor (CPU) with at least 2 GHz
At least 4 GB of RAM
A dedicated graphics card (GPU) with at least 1 GB of VRAM, such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7850
For the best experience aboard the Titanic, we recommend the following system specifications:
A modern processor (CPU) with at least 3 GHz
8 GB of RAM or more
A dedicated graphics card (GPU) with at least 4 GB of VRAM, such as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 58
Before you can access Second Life, you will need to create an account. Visit the Second Life official website at the following link:
Fill out the registration form with the required information, choose an avatar, and create a unique username.
Once you have installed the Firestorm Viewer and created your Second Life account, log in to Second Life using your newly created username and password. To ensure the best experience aboard the Titanic, we recommend setting your graphics settings to "Ultra" and maximizing the draw distance.
To do this, navigate to the top menu in the Firestorm Viewer, click on "Avatar," then "Preferences." In the Preferences window, select the "Graphics" tab. Move the "Quality and speed" slider to the "Ultra" setting and adjust the "Draw Distance" slider to its maximum value. Click "OK" to save your changes.
With the Firestorm Viewer installed, an active Second Life account, and the optimal graphics settings configured, you are now ready to embark on your adventure aboard the Titanic in Second Life.
