Step 6: Southampton & Starting your Metacruise

After logging into Second Life, you will begin your journey by teleporting to Southampton, where the Titanic awaits at the White Star Line dock. To do this, click the following SLURL while the Firestorm Viewer is open:

Upon arrival, you will find yourself at the heart of a bustling Southampton dock, with the majestic Titanic towering before you. Immerse yourself in the historic atmosphere, as the scene is recreated exactly as it was in 1912.

To board the ship, there are two available routes, but we recommend taking the wooden stairs along the side of the Dockyard Building. This will lead you to a connecting bridge to the Titanic, replicating the exact historic boarding experience. As you cross the bridge, you will meet "Officer George Kennedy," a smart NPC powered by Chat GPT-4 dialogue technology. He acts as a verification bot to grant access to AVAC NFT holders aboard the ship.

Approach Officer Kennedy and initiate a conversation by asking how to board the ship. He will guide you through the verification process, which requires you to copy and paste your MetaMask wallet address into the local chat. To ensure a smooth experience, follow his instructions carefully.

Once Officer Kennedy verifies your AVAC NFT, he will automatically send you a secure invitation to join the Second Life group "1912: Titanic." You will see this invitation in the top right corner of your screen. It is crucial that you accept this invite to access the ship.

Prompts for Officer Kennedy: (Simply type these into local chat exactly as they appear here)

  1. Hello

  2. How can I board?

  3. How are you?

  4. Who are you?

  5. How can I come aboard?

  6. I would like to board

After accepting the group invitation and completing the verification process, proceed to the door behind Officer Kennedy. Click on it to board the Titanic and enter through the First Class Entrance. You are now officially aboard the legendary ship, ready to explore and experience the wonders of 1912: Titanic.
