How to begin Mining

Your mining expedition begins with a trek up the scenic trails of Thunderclap Mountain. As you ascend, you'll eventually find an old mine tunnel. Its dark, inviting entrance echoes with the promise of hidden treasures. Bravely venture into the depths of the tunnel, and you'll find a room with an eerie sense of history, marked by the presence of a collapsed tunnel, a solitary rock, and a sturdy pickaxe.

To kick off your mining activities, simply right-click and sit on the rock. A menu of options will appear before you. First, select 'Pickaxe' from the menu to equip yourself with the indispensable tool of every successful miner. Following that, select 'Mining', and finally, choose 'Work'. Now, you're ready to break the ground!

Next, be sure to select "Take Axe" and then equip this when prompted

Once equipped, select "Mining"

Now select "Work", and you will begin mining the Rock

What can you find?

As you chip away at the rock face, three primary objects can be unearthed: Gold Nuggets, Rocks, and Coal. Each of these resources holds value within the Apeville economy. However, the golden nugget is the most prized catch of all.

Mining for Gold Nuggets can be a test of patience due to their rarity, but the rewards are worthwhile. Each Gold Nugget can be sold at The General Store for a handsome $25 $AVAC.

But if you're willing to hold onto your nuggets a little longer, there's an even more lucrative opportunity. By collecting 5 Gold Nuggets, you can take them to the Blacksmith and have them transformed into a Gold Ingot. However, it's essential to remember not to rez your Gold Nugget anywhere other than the Blacksmith or The General Store; otherwise, you risk losing your valuable find.
