Gunslinging

There are a few quests that require Firearms, but also you can use your weapon to engage with the wider Ecosystem

Gunslinging in Apeville

All purchasable weapons can be found within the General Store; initially there are only shotguns which can be bought, although there are also revolvers and lugers available. In Apesville we have a different dynamic to the Titanic, where Weapons may actually be necessary to complete certain tasks, or they inflict direct damage upon buildings and people.

Damage Buildings

On Some buildings you will note that discharging your weapon actually damages the Building, whether this is shooting away the glass windows or actually leaving bullet holes in the wood. Whilst these actions are more than possible, they also damage your reputation and lead to in-game ramifications and consequences.

The above images show what happens after you fire a few rounds with the Luger upon the General Store in Apevile, there is some serious damage done and poor old Amos will suffer the consequences for your actions.

Protection

In certain circumstances your weapons can be used to Protect you from some of the Outlaws and Bandits that lurk around the New Forest State. Bandit encounters can happen at any time and if you allow them to spend more than 3 minutes chasing you, then they will start draining your AVAC Wallet. So the best course of action here is of course to shoot them. Once you have terminated your opponent, they will be gone and your wallet will be safe.

Hunting Animals

Certain Animals in Apeville can be shot and killed, you'll either be able to skin the for Pelts or take meat, such as the Cow; in which "Beef" can be taken following it being dispatched.

Other huntable animals:

  • Bears

  • Deer

  • Rabbits

  • Sheep

  • Cows

  • Birds
