Westways: The Gold Exchange
Westways, your trusted in-game financial service provider, caters to two major facets of Apeville's economy: the exchange of gold ingots and the issuance of $AVAC notes. Pioneering the way in Metaverse transactions, Westways offers the unique experience of converting your virtual efforts into tangible in-game assets.
Trading Gold
Have some gold ingots collected from your mining endeavors? At Westways, you can exchange them for $AVAC. To initiate the process, simply press the bell at the counter. A dialogue menu will appear, presenting two options: "Trade Gold" and "$AVAC Notes".
By selecting "Trade Gold", you will be prompted to place your gold ingots — which can be forged at the Blacksmith — onto the counter. The Teller will then provide you with a fair payout of $1000 AVAC per Gold Ingot. This seamless process allows you to quickly convert your hard-earned gold into spendable currency.
$AVAC Notes
The "$AVAC Notes" option offers the ability to convert your $AVAC balance in the HUD into physical in-game notes. These denominations come in 1000, 500, and 100 AVAC notes, which can be stored within your inventory or even within your in-game homes.
If you wish to convert these notes back into your HUD, simply click on the notes at any time. The corresponding $AVAC value will then be transferred back into your HUD.
The exchange for notes is an integral part of the Apeville economy. It offers an alternative method of storing your $AVAC as a physical object within Second Life, independent of the HUD. This feature is particularly useful during HUD updates. We will ask players to exchange their HUD balance for notes, ensuring their $AVAC assets remain secure during the update process.
